If you've ever wanted to learn more about butterflies, the Polk County Public Libraries in North Carolina may have just the program for you.
The libraries are hosting a series of free lectures on butterflies, starting with "An Introduction to Western Carolina Butterflies" on June 11, reports the Asheville Citizen-Times.
Dr. David Ahrenholz will lead participants in identifying butterflies of the region, as well as how to attract them with plants.
The series is free and open to the public.
